Nelson Showgirl Academy is the home of Nelson Burlesque.

Our headmistress Jasmine, has over 10 years experience in this field, and a lifetime of experience in theatre and dance.

Burlesque is theatrical, sensual, empowering and whole lot of laughs.

We have classes for if you want learn the art of performing burlesque. Burlesque Basics and Burlesque Advanced will teach you historic struts, sensual gloves peels and silly shimmies.

 We also have a low fun, fitness class called Burlesque Express. The focus is on expressing yourself to the music and not on getting the moves right. It is a fun low impact class, where pop music meets beginner burlesque moves.

If you have been looking for something different for your Hens/Girls night out, we offer Burlesque Parties. A fun hour where you learn a short routine and we offer challenges for the bride to be. A glass of bubbles and gift for the bride to be included.

And lastly we can provide entertainment for your upcoming conference, party or event.

From flapper frivolity, sparkling showgirls, fruity fun, and sensual sirens. 
We have a pool of amazing performers that can sing, MC, tease, mingle and dance at your next event. (not just burlesque)
